'Magic Touch' an idea is born
The idea took root after seeing a spurt of new technologies being touted as the 'Answer-All' to problems faced by patients. Whereas the fact remains that each individual is unique and requires a customized approach tailored to suit his needs.

'Magic Touch' is a brain-child of Dr. A. S. Borkar, a U.K. returned Cosmetic Surgeon with more than 30 years of experience in the field. It is a clinic which provides a multi disciplinary approach to cosmetic or plastic surgical problems by clever combination of both 'New' and time proven 'Old' methods.

Dr. Ajitkumar Borkar

Dr. Ajitkumar Borkar a.k.a. Dr. Ajit S. Borkar is a board certified plastic & cosmetic surgeon. He has over 30 years of experience. A national scholar in school, he finished M.B.B.S. in 1979, M.S. in General Surgery (1983) and M.Ch. in Plastic Surgery (1986) from Nair Hospital in Bombay. In Mumbai, he gained invaluable experience after working under 'The Doyen of Indian Hand Surgery', Dr. Brij Bhushan Joshi.

In 1989 he went abroad first to Saudi where he worked in capacity of Chief of Plastic & Burns Unit. Later he shifted base to U.K. where he worked in Middlesbrough General Hospital, South Cleveland Hospital & Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Institute at Glasgow. At Canniesburn Hospital he trained under supervision of World Renowned Plastic Surgeon, Sir Martyn Webster, who awarded him A+ in microsurgery. After having gained invaluable experience in cosmetic surgery, burns, high-speed trauma, congenital defects, hand & microsurgery he returned to India to serve his motherland.

Being active academically he already has many publications in international journals & paper presentations in national & international conferences to his credit. He has contributed chapters to an upcoming manual of plastic surgery.

Aware of his social responsibilities, he served poor patients free of charge on the Life-line Express and at medical camps in Bidada. Currently he continues to devote some time to organisations like Sarvodaya Trust Hospital, Gondavale Maharaj Trust Hospital and places like Nashik, Malegaon, Bacchao (Gujarat).

In Mumbai he is at present attached to many hospitals and has consultation centres at Mahim, Andheri, Malad, Ghatkopar & Vashi. He is a part of the burns team at Masina Hospital.

Dr. Veena Borkar is a board certified medical practitioner and anaesthesiologist. She has over 25 years of experience. A national scholar and rank holder in higher secondary school. She completed her M.B.B.S. in 1982 and Diploma in anaesthesia in 1985 from G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai.
​
She has also worked as a medical consultant in one of the pioneer and reputed Slimming Centres of its time. After gaining experience in dealing with weight problems in a medical and scientific way, in 1990, she worked abroad in Saudi at King Fahad Specialist Hospital, a tertiary care superspeciality Hospital as an anaesthetist.
Currently she is working as both anaesthetist as well as counselor for weight management.

Aware of her social responsibilities she spares time to do social service at a prominent NGO, C.P.A.A. She attends camps to help in early detection of cancer, its prevention and treatment. These camps are conducted all over India, even in the remote areas.
